📣 Arctic Frontiers: Life at the Edge of a Changing World
Exhibit NOW OPEN at the Lawrence House!
Hey friends! 👋
After a wild push to the finish line (with a few unexpected hiccups along the way), I’m thrilled to finally announce that my latest exhibit, Arctic Frontiers: Life at the Edge of a Changing World, is officially open at the Lawrence House Centre for the Arts here in Sarnia! 🎉📸
This one means the world to me. 🌎
While it’s not my first solo exhibit, this is the first major themed collection I’ve created, one that pulls together my photography, my personal journey, and a much larger mission that’s been growing steadily in my heart for years.
The exhibit features 14 carefully selected pieces, all captured during my time in Churchill, Manitoba, the Polar Bear Capital of the World 🐾❄️. Each image tells its own story of resilience, beauty, stillness, and change. And if you head upstairs to the fireplace room 🔥, you’ll find a 20–25 minute short film looping throughout the month. It’s an immersive little escape into the North: the sights, the sounds, the silence… and the soul of it all.
But this isn’t just a photograph show.
Arctic Frontiers is a much bigger project that contains a book, a documentary, and a speaking tour—all rooted in one simple truth:
👉 The North matters. And it’s changing.
I’ll be there in person for Sarnia’s First Friday (July 5), so come say hello! 👋 Ask questions, chat about polar bears or photography, or just come for the images. I’d love to see you.
Here’s what I truly hope you walk away with:
✨ A sense of awe and wonder
🧠 A curiosity to learn more about Canada’s North
💔 A mix of sadness and hope for polar bears and their fragile habitat
🇨🇦 A renewed appreciation for the wild beauty this country holds
💚 And a glimpse into why this matters so much to me, not just as a photographer, but as a human being who deeply cares about conservation, connection, and storytelling
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for supporting this journey. 🙏 Whether you show up in person, share the word, or simply engage with the work, you’re helping bring this vision to life.
Hope to see you at the Lawrence House soon!
– Shaun
P.s. I would also like to give a HUGE shoutout and thank you to all the following partners who made this all possible!!! Please be sure to check them out and do whatever business you can with them, as they truly and fully all support OMNP and many other local small businesses:
